Thanks so much for all those years in Spring Garden apartments. I had wonderful and peaceful moments at this place and felt absolutely supported and grounded. It’s been a hard decision to leave my apartment and I had put a lot of thought on this. But I am trying to move slowly and gradually out of Chapel Hill, since my plans include living alone for a while and then return to Brazil probably at the end of this year. I feel grateful and lucky for being “guarded” by wonderful and friendly people such as Lantz and Bob. In 2003, I started my graduate years and finished my Ph.D. at this healthy and quiet environment. And now, while I am still serving UNC, at Romance Languages Department, it breaks my heart to move and to leave this community. I have not enough words to express all gratitude and affection for this place. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
